A woman’s recent Bolt ride experience in Ibadan has gone viral after she shared her amusing encounter with what might be the city’s most unique ride-hailing vehicle. Emilia, who hadn’t visited Ibadan in four years, got more than she bargained for when her ordered ride turned out to be surprisingly different from what she was used to in Lagos.
In a social media video that has since captured attention, Emilia couldn’t contain her amusement at what the driver proudly introduced as “bolt lite” – a car so compact it makes the traditional yellow Micra taxis look spacious in comparison.
“Just when I thought I had seen it all,” Emilia wrote, describing her initial reaction.
The driver, apparently amused by her surprise, explained that she had unknowingly selected the ‘bolt lite’ option in the app, leading to her memorable transportation experience.
“The shock on my face when this car came ehn, my steeze disappeared into thin air, i laugh scatter,” she recounted, painting a vivid picture of her reaction to the miniature vehicle.
Despite her initial surprise, Emilia found a silver lining – the ride was cheaper than the premium Bolt service.
