Rising artist Dkokopee, born Ogaga Okokowa, has become a topic of online discussion after a video of him with popular singer Afeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, appeared on social media.
In the short clip, Dkokopee, who is known as a close friend of social media personality VeryDarkMan, was seen casually eating sausages and “vibing” with a shirtless Naira Marley. The video also featured a snippet of Dkokopee’s track, with the lyric “Two poor men no fit help each other” grabbing the attention of his fans.
This public display comes amidst ongoing speculation that VeryDarkMan’s vocal support for the Marlian Music boss may be financially motivated. The speculation follows a report from GistLover that VeryDarkMan’s disclosure of a celebrity WhatsApp group, formed after the death of singer Mohbad, allegedly cost actor Jigan Baba Oja an endorsement deal.
Reacting to the recent clip, VeryDarkMan teased fans about a potential collaboration and questioned when the video was recorded, writing: “When una take this video? Are we expecting a jam?”
The video has since received mixed reactions from social media users, further fueling conversations about Dkokopee’s association with Naira Marley.
