The House of Representatives will present N704.91 million to President Bola Tinubu on December 31, 2024, to support vulnerable Nigerians affected by the removal of the petrol subsidy.
Speaker Tajudeen Abba informed the House that this amount, contributed by members from half of their salaries over six months, would be used for the welfare of those in need.
This initiative, first proposed in July, reflects the lawmakers’ commitment to alleviating the burdens faced by Nigerians during the current economic challenges.
