Armed bandits attacked farmers in Sarkin Bajaga village, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Wednesday, killing one person and kidnapping several others.
According to Linda Ikeji Blog, the attack happened while the farmers were working in their fields.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that 34-year-old Titus Victor was shot and killed during the assault.
Another farmer, 33-year-old Nathan Andrew, was wounded in his left thigh and is now receiving medical care at Bege Hospital in Maraban Kajuru.
The gunmen also abducted an unknown number of farmers and took them to an undisclosed location.
Security forces have been deployed to the area and are working to rescue the kidnapped victims and track down the attackers.
