A young woman, Ore, has revealed her daring move to quit Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme to move abroad, which has generated reactions on social media.
In a TikTok video, Ore humorously described how she left the country while still in the national service.
She revealed that her fellow corps members would always ask where she was in the weekly Community Development Service (CDS) meetings without realizing that she had left the country for good.
The video is of her waiting at the airport, holding her passport and bags, ready to board. But she did not reveal where she was going. Her ordeal soon went viral, with individuals on social media reacting in equal measure amusement and admiration.
