Amid ongoing rumors surrounding Regina Daniels’ marriage to billionaire Ned Nwoko, Nigerian lady Yetunde Omobolanle has shared her blunt take on the situation, calling it amusing and avoidable.
Speculation about trouble in Regina’s marriage intensified after reports surfaced claiming Nwoko had fathered a child with another actress—a rumor that was later disproven.
However, when he was spotted in public with his Moroccan wife, Laila, and Regina removed his name from her Instagram bio, deleting several of their photos together, social media erupted with renewed interest in their relationship.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), @Divayetty1 did not hold back her opinions, stating that she felt zero sympathy for Regina amid the ongoing drama.
“I’m sorry, but this Regina Daniels situation is just so laughable to me, borderline clownish—because, in the first place, she had zero reason being in this mess.”
She criticized what she perceives as a lack of long-term thinking among Nigerian women, especially when it comes to relationships and financial security.
“When Regina married Ned, people kept screaming She won! and I just kept asking, won what exactly?”
Yetunde argued that Regina, who was already a successful actress, had the potential to build her own wealth and marry for love, rather than getting involved in a relationship that now seems turbulent.
“She got married in her early 20s, and yes, I get it, people were shouting generational wealth, her kids will be set for life, but how much money is enough to sacrifice peace, dignity, and happiness?”
Yetunde also compared Regina’s situation to a recent viral story of a Nigerian woman who bought herself a Lamborghini, yet was celebrated as if she had achieved something extraordinary.
“I feel like Nigerian women don’t think long-term about certain things or don’t believe in their own capabilities.
There’s this obsession with winning in the moment, peppering someone temporarily, and being in some imaginary competition. But who exactly are you competing with?”
Yetunde concluded by stating that Regina’s current situation was entirely preventable, urging women to think beyond short-term gains when making life-changing decisions.
“She was already on her way to doing well for herself and could have built an even better future without marrying that old ‘billionaire’ Father Abraham man. But oh well, to each their own.”
