Actor and blogger Yemi Elesho has spilled the story of his years-long friendship with award-winning artist Asake, which began way back in their university days at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.
During a live TikTok interview with Jigan, Elesho looked back at their initial collaborations in skits and films. He made light of paying Asake ₦700 plate of rice and a Coca-Cola bottle for his acts.
Elesho described Asake as his “day-one” and a “very good friend,” highlighting their participation in celebrity football matches as well as the many photos and videos they took together. His disclosure generated nostalgia among fans, providing insight into Asake’s life before fame.
