X User Blasts “Anyhowness” in Super Eagles Press Conference Organization

A social media user, Obiasogu David, has caused a stir online after he juxtaposed the Super Eagles‘ press conferences in Rwanda and Uyo, and the contrasts in organization and presentation were glaring.

David, in a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), posted two screenshots of the press conferences, highlighting notable differences in the background, lighting, chairs, microphone positioning, and overall aesthetics.

He decried what he described as Nigeria’s culture of mediocrity, blaming government agencies for always demanding cost-cutting at the detriment of quality delivery.

“They point to one thing – Nigeria’s culture of ‘anyhowness.’ It isn’t just about the NFF, it is a deep-rooted culture that is associated with our government agencies,” he wrote.

According to David, the officials lowball the figure to be used in projects so that they can steal more for themselves, at the expense of efficiency, good presentation, and professionalism.

Though he considered suggesting that the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) outsource press conferences to private sector brands, he dismissed the idea on the grounds that the NFF itself is the chief culprit.
