Social media is abuzz with controversy after reports emerged of a young woman being detained by Nigerian Police in Anambra State allegedly for the unusual offense of appearing in public without wearing a bra.
The incident gained traction following a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) claiming the arrest was connected to rumors of a government directive specifically targeting women who venture outside their homes without wearing bras.
Adding fuel to the growing online debate is circulating video footage showing a visibly distressed woman in a dress seated in the back of a police vehicle.
The clip also appears to show officers actively patrolling the area, reportedly searching for other women violating this alleged dress code restriction.
