Hours after Nigerian singer Idowu Smart Emmanuel, popularly known as Lil Smart, raised alarm over his safety, he made serious accusations against Naira Marley and his artist Zinoleesky, alleging that they had kidnapped him.
In response, social media commentator Martins Otse, also known as Verydarkman (VDM), urged Lil Smart to reach out for help. In a video, VDM called on the Lagos State police to investigate the claims made by Lil Smart against the two artists. He advised Lil Smart to preserve any evidence and even offered to fly him to Abuja to formally report the case to the authorities, ensuring it would receive appropriate attention.
VDM, who had recently celebrated with Naira Marley and Zinoleesky, clarified that he was not taking sides in the dispute. However, he expressed doubts about the validity of Lil Smart’s allegations. He suggested that the situation could be a way for God to expose the truth behind the events surrounding the late Mohbad.
“After what happened to Mohbad, una suppose dey careful with una act, e be like una no dey really use una sense, may be na God want use this one expose wetin really happen to Mohbad but Lil Smart I really want to hope you are saying the truth,” VDM stated in the video.
In the caption of the video, VDM wrote, “@lilsmart_ check your dm let me know when you are ready to get on a flight.”
