VeryDarkMan Teases Diss Track Against Mercy Chinwo, Wants Portable as Feature

Nigerian activist and social critic, VeryDarkMan, has announced plans to release a diss track aimed at gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, shortly after she filed a lawsuit against him. The track, titled Body of Christ, is set to mock Chinwo, and VeryDarkMan is considering featuring controversial singer Portable on the song.

The revelation came in a viral video posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where VeryDarkMan could be seen dancing to the unreleased song while engaging his followers in a discussion about who should be featured.

While teasing the track, VeryDarkMan sarcastically claimed he wanted to collaborate with an artist who possesses “deep spiritual depth.” He then mentioned Portable as his preferred choice, describing the singer as having more spiritual depth than Mercy Chinwo.

“My single is out—Body of Christ,” he announced. “I’m thinking of featuring someone holier. In my opinion, this person is even holier than Mercy Chinwo. I believe this person has the spirit of Christ in him.

Portable, I’ll be in your DM. I want you on this song because you’re spiritually inclined. Forget our differences—I believe you have more spirituality in Christ than Mercy Chinwo.”

The announcement has sparked mixed reactions from social media users:

  • @issue2041: “If South Africans used Amapiano like this, it wouldn’t have reached us.”
  • @Evequadri: “It’s only me and two others that are normal in Nigeria.”
  • @LivinTroller: “🤣🤣. Once I notice you like violence more than war, I’ll just like you. 🤣😂. VDM all the way. Ratel gang 🤣😂. Grammy, we coming.”
  • @Olamide0plus: “Portable will soon make a video response.”
  • @king_zamani1: “VDM Dey kpami.”
