Ubi Franklin Denies Stealing Luxury Watch at Davido, Chioma’s Miami Wedding

Talent manager and music executive, Ubi Franklin, has refuted claims he stole a luxurious wristwatch at Davido and Chioma Adeleke’s star-studded wedding in Miami.

Franklin had departed the wedding with someone else’s watch, a blog reported. Reacting on X, the 39-year-old described the report as “false and misleading.”

He elaborated that when he was in Miami, a jeweller, Benny, offered him a watch, which he declined to buy after checking its previous ownership. Later, at church service, Benny sent another wristwatch through his brother, which Franklin purchased and paid for in full.

He asserted that he had both watches but used only the one he bought. He also added that he had to leave Miami immediately after the wedding to prepare for his sister’s funeral and that, when on the plane, Benny phoned him about the retrieval of the first watch.

“I am not a thief. I have never stolen anything from anyone in my life. I purchased a wristwatch and paid in full. Benny himself has debunked this news, yet it still keeps circulating,” Franklin clarified that this would be the last he had to say on the matter.

The wedding, which was tagged #Chivido2025, was held on Sunday, August 10, in Miami, Florida, and was attended by friends, family, and celebrities.
