Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage recently responded to a Wizkid FC troll who tried to downplay her latest collaboration, “Toma Toma”, with rising artist Ruger. The eagerly awaited track dropped today, November 15, 2024, with Tiwa sharing the release on Instagram through a lively dance video.
In her post, Tiwa wrote, “No replica. Told y’all this one is special. The 🌀 @rugerofficial called and I answered. “Toma Toma” OUT NOW.” Fans celebrated the release, but a fan identifying as a Wizkid FC member mocked her post, suggesting no song could rival Wizkid’s release on the same day.
Tiwa swiftly responded, condemning the troll’s toxic behavior and urging fans to support their favorite artists without resorting to bullying or instigating rivalries. “There’s a line between being fans and bullies. This unhealthy competition is terrible for everyone,” she stated.
The exchange has fueled discussions online about stan culture and the pressure it places on artists. Meanwhile, “Toma Toma” continues to garner praise from fans who appreciate the chemistry between Tiwa Savage and Ruger.
