President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has lambasted former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, for his recent claim that democracy has collapsed in Nigeria.
In a response on his X handle (formerly Twitter), Bwala called Obi a “failed politician” attempting to “redefine democracy,” questioning whether he knows anything about democratic principles.
“Does he even know the meaning of democracy? When people were fighting for democracy, Gregory was buying and selling,” Bwala wrote, referencing Obi’s background as a businessman.
He further accused Obi of lacking any history of democratic activism, alleging that his political influence is rooted in “instigating hate speech and vitriol.”
“Talk is cheap,” Bwala concluded.
