President Tinubu Reappoints Kemi Nandap’s Tenure as Comptroller-General of Nigeria Immigration Service

President Bola Tinubu has approved the renewal of the tenure of Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap as Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) until December 31, 2026. In a press release issued by the presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, on Monday, it was revealed that Mrs. Nandap began her career with the NIS on October 9, 1989, and was appointed Comptroller-General on March 1, 2024, with an initial tenure due to end on August 31, 2025. Under her leadership, there has been exemplary enhancement in the NIS, for instance, enhancement of border management, modernizing immigration, and strengthening national security. President Tinubu commended Mrs. Nandap for leading by example and urged her to continue the alignment of her activities with the strategic agenda of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. President Tinubu also restated his administration’s commitment to supporting the NIS in securing Nigeria’s territorial integrity and promoting safe, legal, and orderly migration.
