The Super Falcons of Nigeria have maintained their 36th position in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking, released on Friday, December 13.
The Nigerian team held their ground after a strong performance during the review period, which included two victories against Algeria’s Green Ladies in a two-legged friendly, winning 2-0 and 4-1, respectively.
However, they suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to France’s Les Bleues in another friendly match.
On the African continent, the Super Falcons remain the top-ranked team, showcasing their dominance as nine-time African champions.
South Africa’s Banyana Banyana follows in second place, with Morocco, Zambia, and Ghana rounding out the top five teams in Africa.
