The lawyer representing Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington, Stan Alieke, has shared an update regarding the rapper’s release following his recent bail. Alieke took to his Instagram story to announce that Speed Darlington, whose real name is Akpi, was arraigned in court and granted bail on January 15th. However, he explained that the rapper’s release was delayed because the court was unable to verify the surety provided in time.
Despite the delay, Alieke assured fans that efforts were underway to ensure that Speed Darlington would be released on January 16th, following the completion of the necessary verification. In his post, Stan Alieke wrote: “Yes, Akpi was arraigned and granted bail today by the court & he was meant to be released today. The court just couldn’t meet up to verify the surety we provided that’s why he wasn’t released today. Hopefully, by tomorrow he’ll be out after the perfection of the bail conditions.”
