In a shocking incident of domestic violence, a 23-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly attacking his father with a machete over a dispute involving N5,000 in Delta State. The tragic event unfolded in the Amukpe area of Sapele on Sunday, when the suspect, identified only as Success, reportedly confronted his father who had refused to give him the requested amount.
Following the attack, the victim was immediately rushed to a local hospital for emergency treatment. Despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday afternoon. Delta State Police Command spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident and the suspect’s arrest.
“Success is currently in police custody,” Edafe stated, adding that the attack occurred on Sunday but the father passed away the following day.
