Nigerian influencer and life coach, Solomon Buchi, has described Nigeria as an environment that hinders the growth of talent and innovation. His comments came in reaction to a statement by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) about a suspect who allegedly shot one of its officers. The suspect, a medical doctor, was accused of engaging in internet fraud after being found with laptops and coding materials.
Buchi argued that such actions by the EFCC discourage ingenuity among Nigerians. He stated, “If Mark Zuckerberg were Nigerian, the EFCC would have raided his dorm where he started Facebook, accusing him of internet fraud because he had laptops and was caught coding.”
