Singer Skales Reacts to EFCC Official’s Death: “Good for Them”

Skales

Nigerian singer Skales has sparked controversy with his reaction to the death of an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) official, stating that he feels no sympathy for the incident. The official was reportedly shot dead during a raid on the home of an alleged internet fraudster in Anambra, a story that has dominated conversations on social media in recent days.

Reacting to the news via his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, Skales recounted a traumatic experience involving EFCC officials raiding his home. The singer revealed that his family is still dealing with the emotional aftermath of the incident, during which his infant daughter was injured.

“It’s quite unfortunate that someone lost his life, but they had it coming. Imagine the trauma my family and I still face till now,” he wrote.

He further detailed how his then-6-month-old daughter suffered an injury during the raid:

“My daughter was 6 months old, and her mom dropped her out of fear, and she burst her lip … Good for them. I will never forgive them … I am so happy.”

Skales’ comments have drawn mixed reactions online, with some criticizing him for appearing to celebrate the official’s death, while others expressed understanding of his frustration given his personal experience with the anti-corruption agency.
