Nigerian music star Crown Uzama, whose stage name is Shallipopi, is going to take TikTok by storm with an electrifying new dance challenge for his popular song, “Laho.”
Shallipopi dropped “Laho” on February 21, 2025, as his first release on his own independent record label, Plutomania Records. The song immediately went massive, peaking at #17 on the Global Shazam Chart and topping Apple Music charts in 10 African countries.
In the US, the song rose to #8 on the Billboard Afrobeats Chart (March 4, 2025), while in the UK, it reached #3 on the Afrobeats Chart (March 2, 2025). On Spotify, “Laho” garnered a record 600,000 streams in one day (March 1, 2025), the highest-streamed solo song of Shallipopi to date.
The high-energy music video, which was directed by Perliks Definition, was released on March 7, 2025, making the song an even greater hit.
Shallipopi is taking it up a notch now by initiating a TikTok dance challenge to engage with his audience. Recently, in a post on Instagram, he gave a hint about the challenge, asking Gen Z viewers to join the viral movement. With his strong social media presence, this challenge is all set to be the new trend.
