Russian Missile Strike on Zelensky’s Hometown Kills 3, Injures 31 as War Enters Third Year

According to lindaikejisblog, a Russian missile attack targeted a hotel in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s hometown of Kryvyi Rig overnight on March 6, killing three people and wounding 31 others, nearly half of whom are in serious condition. The strike occurred as discussions about potential peace negotiations between Moscow and Washington gain momentum amid the war’s third year.

“Three people died in Kryvyi Rig due to the night missile attack… Sincere condolences to the relatives,” said Dnipropetrovsk region governor Sergiy Lysak, who confirmed the casualty figures. The assault damaged a hotel, 14 apartment buildings, a post office, 12 shops, a cultural institution, and nearly two dozen vehicles, according to local officials.

Kryvyi Rig, located roughly 70 kilometers (43 miles) northwest of the front line and once home to over 600,000 residents, has faced repeated attacks since Russia’s invasion began. Separately, a strike in Sumy hit a warehouse, killing a security guard.
