President Trump Considers Pardon for Diddy, Citing Past Hostility

The 47th U.S. President, Donald Trump, has addressed the possibility of granting a pardon to music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs amid his recent legal troubles. Trump made the comments during a Friday interview on Newsmax’s “Finnerty,” where the conversation shifted to Diddy’s recent federal conviction.

Diddy was found guilty on two counts under the Mann Act, which prohibits transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. However, he was acquitted of more severe charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

Acyn who post on X revealed that when directly asked about a presidential pardon for Diddy, Trump responded, “I was very friendly with Diddy once. We got along great. He seemed like a nice guy.” However, Trump then added that he didn’t know Diddy well and that the rapper had been “very hostile” toward him during his presidency and election campaigns.

“That type of thing can cloud our judgment sometimes,” Trump noted, adding that Diddy’s past comments made it “more difficult to do.” The president stopped short of a definitive position, stating that he would need to see the full details before making a decision, but his comments suggested that a pardon was unlikely.

Meanwhile, Diddy remains in legal limbo, awaiting a ruling on his latest motion for bail and a sentencing hearing scheduled for October. The Mann Act conviction alone could lead to a significant prison sentence.
