Peter Okoye Denies Paul Okoye’s Claims Over Jude Okoye’s EFCC Fraud Case

The management team of Peter Okoye has denied allegations made by his twin brother, Paul Okoye, claiming that Peter is responsible for their elder brother Jude Okoye’s ongoing legal troubles. Jude is currently being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a ₦1.38 billion fraud case. A Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has ordered his detention until his bail hearing in March.

Following the arraignment on Friday, Paul accused Peter of orchestrating Jude’s ordeal, stating:

“Let’s call a spade a spade, Peter is the one putting Jude in this situation. He is the one doing this, putting him in prison, and I’m here to bring him out.”

However, Peter’s manager, Emem Kush, dismissed these claims, insisting that Peter had no involvement in Jude’s legal woes.

In response, Kush stated:

“Peter has nothing to do with this case. The EFCC is investigating based on their findings. Peter didn’t report anyone or drag anybody to the EFCC. The petition was against the company handling funds on Jude’s behalf, not Peter.”

She further emphasized that the EFCC should be contacted for official details, as Peter has no direct ties to the case.

Family Feud Resurfaces

The Okoye brothers’ long-standing rift began in 2015, leading to P-Square’s breakup in 2017. Although they reunited in 2022, their relationship took another hit in August 2024, when Paul publicly announced their split again, accusing Peter of filing an EFCC complaint against him and Jude.

Peter refuted the claim, explaining that his actions were not intended to involve law enforcement but to expose what he perceived as betrayal by Jude and his wife, Ifeoma. The family drama continues as Jude Okoye remains in custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.
