Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, have reportedly ended their relationship after 30 years together.
The news, first reported by Spanish outlet Sport, revealed that the couple, who met in 1994 and tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2014, decided to part ways in December.
Despite the split, sources close to them describe their relationship as “cordial, stable, and friendly.”
Guardiola, 53, and Serra, a Brazilian journalist and writer, had been living apart for over five years.
Serra had moved back to Barcelona with their youngest daughter, 17-year-old Valentina, while Guardiola remained in Manchester. The couple also shares two older children: Maria, 24, and Marius, 22.
While living in different cities, the pair remained a couple and were often seen together in public over the years.
However, Sport reports that the decision to formally end their marriage was kept private, with only close friends and family informed.
Those within their inner circle have reportedly been asked not to disclose further details about the separation.
