The Oyo State House of Assembly has approved an increase in the state’s budget, raising it from N678 billion to N684 billion. The decision was made on Wednesday after the House Committee on Finance, Appropriation, and State Economic Planning, led by Hon. Sunkanmi Babalola, presented its report.
Governor Seyi Makinde had originally proposed a budget of N678.08 billion on November 13, 2024. The approved upward review will now total N684.15 billion, aimed at addressing emerging priorities and supporting critical projects to boost economic growth, infrastructure, and the overall welfare of Oyo State residents.
