Ogun Governor Rewards Best Graduating Students with N2.5 Million Each

In a move to celebrate academic excellence, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has rewarded the three best graduating students of the Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Sciences, Ilese-Ijebu, with a cash prize of N2.5 million each. The announcement was made during the institution’s 3rd combined convocation ceremony on Thursday.

Representing the governor at the event, his Special Adviser on Secondary Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo, praised the students for their outstanding achievements and confirmed the monetary reward as a recognition of their hard work. Governor Abiodun emphasized that the gesture is part of his administration’s commitment to fostering intellectual growth and excellence in the state.

He assured that the government would continue to invest in the education sector, ensuring that both students and institutions have the necessary resources to thrive.

“Education is the bedrock of any society, and we will continue to ensure that our students have access to quality education,” he stated.

“The rewarding of these outstanding students today is a reflection of our commitment to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.”

The three honored students are Famuyewa Aminat from the Dental Technology department, Temilola Rasak from Health Information Management, and Kanyinsola Salami from Environmental Health Technology. Governor Abiodun also commended the institution’s management for its continued development despite being relatively young.
