Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has caused a stir on social media after making a sarcastic comment regarding Davido’s forthcoming album that was misinterpreted by many fans.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, the rapper shared that Davido’s much-awaited fifth studio album, 5ive, should be released under Kcee and E-Money’s 5ive Star Music, rather than Davido’s own label, 30BG.
While the comment was intended as sarcastic compliment—implying Davido’s latest effort is of “five-star” caliber—some fans misinterpreted, accusing the rapper of belittling the album or being insulting.
5ive by Davido will be released in April through his label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), in collaboration with Sony Music. Three singles have already been put out to herald the project: “Awuke” featuring YG Marley, “Funds” featuring Odumodublvck and Chike, and “Be There Still.”
