NYSC Member Melt Hearts as She Opens Thrift Store with Her N77k NYSC Allowance

NYSC

One of the young Nigerian women has melted hearts on social media after her story of beginning a small business while serving with National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Her TikTok account is @prominentkiddiesthrift, and she posted a video showing the humble beginnings of her thrift store — a dream finally pursued with her N77,000 NYSC allowance.

She can be seen washing clothes and preparing thrift clothes for sale in the video, dedicating love and care to the smallest details. She also did an emotional call for support from prospective buyers.

Her post read:

“POV: You finally decided to stop procrastination and begin with your N77k allawee. Way Maker, kindly make a way for me. I have commenced. Please show support to my brand, tomorrow we are taking off.”

The video quickly went viral, attracting warm encouragement and helpful tips from other TikTok users.

@Kiddies thrift in Ibadan posted, “You get strength ohh. Just iron if need be to take a good picture. Customers will wash it themselves. And y’all should use bar soap, not detergent. Massive sales to you!”

@zahankids_island also added:
“Washing is not so necessary, but if you prefer to wash in order to get noticed, wash with bar soap such as Premier or Viva. The said soaps can make clothing appear brighter and cleaner.”
