Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko has dismissed rumors linking him to Nollywood actress Chika Ike and her alleged newborn, calling the claims baseless and malicious. In an official statement shared on social media, Nwoko also denied reports suggesting he commented on singer 2Baba’s marital issues. He attributed the false narratives to attention-seeking bloggers aiming to stir controversy.
The statement, issued by his Director of Communications, reads:
Our attention has been drawn to recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation. Similarly, reports claiming he made statements about Tuface and polygamy are completely untrue.
The statement further clarified that Nwoko remains focused on his political duties and has no time for distractions:
“As a public figure with a wife who is an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories. However, Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions.”
The office urged journalists to verify information before publication and warned against the spread of fake news, reminding the public to rely solely on official statements from his office.
