NDYC Endorses Peter Obi, Bala Mohammed Coalition

Niger Delta Youth Congress (NDYC) openly endorsed the coalition of Bauchi State governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, and 2023 Labour Party presidential aspirant, Peter Obi.

The group, in a statement signed by its leader, Israel Uwejeyan, stated that the recent meeting between the two was based on mutual respect, national interest, and vision for a greater Nigeria, and seen as a beacon of hope for millions of Nigerians.

Governor Mohammed has continually demonstrated himself to be a dedicated servant of unity, national integration, and innovative leadership, while Peter Obi is a reflection of integrity, economic acumen, and revolutionary leadership, NDYC clarified.

The group added that their reunification was an indication that the time for true political rebalancing has arrived.

The NDYC received Governor Bala Mohammed’s bitterness-free politics, national unity, and inclusive governance as a sign of his mature thinking.

The party averred that the two leaders uniting under a grand alliance would herald a new dawn, evidence that leadership was no longer Politics of privilege but rather service delivery, accountability, and national prosperity.

The NDYC called on all rational Nigerians, especially the young people, to support this new movement which is founded on innovation, merit, and a well-defined roadmap for national progress.

The statement read: “In a time when Nigeria eagerly seeks pragmatic, visionary, and people-oriented leadership, the convergence of these two visionary, young, and dynamic leaders is a beacon of hope to millions of Nigerians. Governor Mohammed has continued to demonstrate his unshakable commitment to unity, national harmony, and progressive leadership, while Mr. Peter Obi remains a pillar of integrity, economic frugality, and reform in leadership.”.

“Their reconciliation is a signal that the day of true political rebalancing has come, and today is when the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is demonstrating to Nigerians that it means business.”.

Contrary to the previous administration, which has all these years been characterized by transactional politics and repackaged governance, the Bala Mohammed-Peter Obi ticket represents the future and one in which competency, patriotism, and sacrificial service must be above politicking. Unlike others such as Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, whose political life is marred by the backward motions of gaining power for self-aggrandizement, these two leaders are exemplars of leadership with a purpose and national rebirth.
