Television personality Bugzy Dvinci has criticized nightlife entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest for his new song, questioning why no one has had the decency to let him know the reality — the track simply doesn’t sound good.

In a video recently doing the rounds on the Internet, Bugzy wasted no words, condemning the businessman’s attempt at venturing into music.

In his view, this over-saturation of money-backed music careers is part of the reason why the standard of Nigerian music is going in the downward spiral.

“So no one wan tell Chief Priest that his new song no sweet?” Bugzy asked bluntly.

“This kind of thing dey spoil the quality of musicians. Because you get money, pay people, go to studio, you think you can sing anything. The song no sweet.”

He continued to explain that possessing the money to make music doesn’t necessarily mean one has musical ability — and that diving into music as a vanity endeavor does a disservice to musicians who have spent years developing their craft.

Bugzy also waded into the ongoing drama surrounding Cubana Chief Priest and his alleged baby mama, Hellen Ati.

He criticized Ati’s claims that the businessman “took her star” for his personal gain, describing such statements as misguided and rooted in baseless spiritual beliefs.

“That’s just one of those fallacies planted in people’s heads by some so-called men of God,” he said.
