Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed his delight at Alex Iwobi’s strong performances for Fulham this season. The Nigerian midfielder, who made the move from Everton last summer, has been in excellent form, scoring five goals in 15 Premier League appearances for Marco Silva’s side.
Iwobi played a key role in Fulham’s 1-1 draw against Arsenal on Sunday, further cementing his value to the team.
Reflecting on Iwobi’s progress, Arteta shared his admiration for the 28-year-old’s talents and versatility. Speaking to Metro UK, Arteta said: “I always liked him a lot. I thought that he had tremendous talent and a very special quality. He has the capacity to play in different spaces and positions. I’m really happy to see him performing at this level.”
