Mercy Chinwo’s Former Manager Denies Fund Diversion Allegations, Fires Back with Claims

Mercy Chinwo

The former manager of gospel artist Mercy Chinwo has publicly denied allegations of diverting $345,000 in funds, as claimed by the singer’s team. In a series of social media posts, he accused Chinwo of unfairly attempting to take ownership of a catalog that he says he entirely financed.

The ex-manager revealed that he had transferred up to $625,000 to Chinwo over the course of their professional relationship, despite her accusations of mistreatment. He explained that their partnership was based on a 50/50 earnings agreement, entitling him to both royalties and remittances.

However, he alleged that Chinwo leveraged her religious affiliations and law enforcement connections to manipulate the narrative. The manager further disclosed that he had contributed significant resources to her career, including financial investments, platform-building efforts, and even securing housing for her before her rise to fame.

Adding to his claims, he recounted a harrowing legal ordeal where he was reportedly extorted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and detained for nine days.

In a bold move, the former manager challenged Chinwo to publicly release her bank statements and records of songs produced before she signed with him, to substantiate her claims.
