Queen Dami, the widow of the late Alaafin of Oyo, has found herself at the center of controversy once again following the release of an audio recording from a recent interview. In the interview with Esabod, Queen Dami discussed her personal life, professional commitments, and a mutual acquaintance named Wunmi.
Also present during the conversation was her employer, Farida Sobowale, the founder of House of Phreeda skincare. During the exchange, Esabod questioned Queen Dami about instances where she allegedly neglected her job to pursue romantic interests. Queen Dami claimed she had only missed work twice—once to attend a party and another time when she couldn’t return home late at night and stayed at her boss’s residence.
Farida, however, accused her of dishonesty and warned her to be cautious with her statements. This isn’t the first time Queen Dami has faced public scrutiny. Since separating from her partner, she has been vocal about the challenges she faces, including health issues like high blood pressure.
