France captain Kylian Mbappe has said that he would be extremely happy if Zinedine Zidane was made the manager of the France national team. Keep in mind that France national team manager Didier Deschamps had already confirmed that he will resign from his position after the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Former Real Madrid manager Zidane is being linked to the national team job.
Mbappe said on TF1: “It’s not me who makes the decision (about who replaces Deschamps). I am making an effort not to speak too much about it.
“It isn’t my job and there is already a manager there. You have to have respect for the people that are already in place.”
He added, “I no longer have to prove my love for Zidane but I think you have to respect the people that are here (Deschamps).
“If Zidane arrives, it would be a great pleasure. I would be extremely happy but it isn’t my decision.”
According to leadershipng, Mbappe returned to the France national side recently. Deschamps released his team on Thursday for Les Bleus’ Nations League quarter-finals against Croatia and had included Mbappe.
