Kogi State Boosts Business Growth, Hosts Convergence of Africa Impact Tour

Usman Ododo

The Kogi State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment, which it describes as a “confluence of opportunities.” During the Convergence of Africa Impact Tour in Kogi, Commissioner of Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, emphasized Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s focus on state-wide security, recognizing it as essential for business growth.

Fanwo praised the tour’s focus on fashion, food, and fitness, noting it would drive intra-regional trade and align investment policies for Kogi and Africa. He urged participants to leverage networking and collaboration, stating, “No one can do it alone. Networking across sectors will help business owners grow and advance to the next level.”

Highlighting the state’s ambitious 32-year development plan, Fanwo emphasized its long-term vision beyond any single administration’s tenure. “We are committed to implementing this plan to position Kogi for sustainable development,” he stated. Barr. Patient Olusiyi, Convener of Convergence of Africa, explained that Kogi is the first of ten states to be visited, with a target of training 150 participants.

The initiative aims to empower entrepreneurs, enabling businesses to outlive their founders and ensure long-term sustainability. The event underscores Kogi State’s dedication to economic growth through strategic partnerships, capacity building, and business-friendly policies.
