Kizz Daniel Features Angelique Kidjo and Johnny Drille on New Song ‘Police’

African award-winning musician Kizz Daniel has officially kicked off the build-up to his upcoming album with the unveiling of his long-awaited new single, “Police.”

The up-tempo track features a veritable A-list lineup—six-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo and Nigerian artist Johnny Drille.

Police marks the start of a new era for Kizz Daniel‘s career with catchy melodies, smooth Afrobeat rhythms, and a lighthearted, love-sick story.

The song is light-hearted but clever, with a focus on a couple whose differing timetables lead to ridiculous scenarios—like the artist jokingly “calling the police” about his lover’s irresistible nature.

The track is a collaborative effort by the prowess of MOG Beatz (Ghana), Blaise Beatz (Nigeria), and Johnny Drille himself, who also gets to lead vocal credits on the song.

Amongst the three acts, the two production giants combine Afrobeat with soul and cross-cultural elements to come up with something modern and cross-board sound.
