Kim Kardashian is reportedly considering altering her custody deal with ex-husband Kanye West after he released a song that features their oldest child, North West, without her permission.
The reality star is reportedly planning to sue Ye to terminate joint legal custody because of his persistent disregard for her desires.
Kim and Kanye, who divorced in 2022, share joint physical and legal custody of their four children: North (11), Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (5).
Physical custody has never been an issue, but sources say Kanye barely gets to see the kids.
Legal custody, especially decision-making rights, is now a battleground between the former lovers.
The controversy deepened after Kanye dismissed Kim’s reservations and dropped a song called “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine”, on which North West and troubled rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, accused of several cases of sexual assault, feature.
When Kim learned that the song was going to be released, she immediately called an emergency meeting with Kanye, a judge, a mediator, and their attorneys.
Kanye refused to show up for the session, however, and then proceeded to release the song anyway.
On X (formerly Twitter), Kanye justified his actions, quoting that “men make the final decision.”
His refusal to abide by their agreement has reportedly prompted Kim to approach the court to limit his decision-making power over their children.
