Renowned rapper Kanye West has called on former U.S. President Donald Trump to grant a pardon to hip-hop mogul Sean Combs, popularly known as Diddy, who is currently in jail facing serious legal battles. According to GistLover, Diddy is entangled in over 30 civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault and misconduct.
He is currently being held in New York while awaiting a federal trial on charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering. Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) page on Thursday, Kanye publicly appealed to Trump, writing:
“@realDonaldTrump, please free my brother Puff.”
Diddy was arrested by Homeland Security in September last year on allegations of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transporting individuals for prostitution. The music executive has denied all charges and pleaded not guilty on September 17. However, his bail requests have been denied twice. Recently, Diddy was taken to a hospital in Brooklyn for a knee injury but was returned to his cell after receiving treatment.
