Kanye West has been dropped by his talent agency, 33&West, following a series of antisemitic remarks and controversial statements on social media. Daniel McCartney of 33&West announced the decision, stating, “Effective immediately, I’m no longer representing Ye (F/K/A Kanye West) due to his recent hateful and harmful remarks that myself [and] 33&West cannot stand for.”
The move comes after West posted multiple messages on X praising Adolf Hitler and making offensive comments about Jewish people. His actions also led to Shopify removing his website after he attempted to sell a $20 white T-shirt featuring a black swastika.
In addition to his antisemitic remarks, West made controversial statements about his wife, Bianca Censori, implying he has control over her. Addressing criticism of Censori’s sheer outfit at the Grammys, he wrote on X: “She’s with a billionaire. Why would she listen to any of you dumb ass broke b!tches.”
During an X livestream, he doubled down, saying, “She definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without my approval, you stupid ass woke pawns,” before adding, “I have no respect or empathy for anyone living ’cause no one living can f— with me, but I do love some people and I give them favor.”
West’s repeated controversial actions have resulted in widespread backlash, with brands and industry figures distancing themselves from the rapper.
