The Imo State Police Command has begun a thorough investigation into a fatal motor accident that occurred on Sunday evening at Amala, Ngor-Okpala. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Henry Okoye, confirmed the incident in a statement made available. The crash involved a Toyota Camry (registration number EPE 541 JO) and a Hyundai Santa Fe (registration number AAA 212 CD), resulting in the tragic loss of all eight occupants from both vehicles.

Police operatives from the Ngor-Okpala Divisional Headquarters swiftly responded, evacuating the victims’ remains to a mortuary and securing the scene to ease traffic. The authorities have documented pictorial evidence and are working to identify the victims and notify their families. The investigation aims to uncover the cause of the accident and ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent future occurrences.
