Turkish giants Galatasaray are set to make a record-breaking offer to secure Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal, following his blistering loan spell with the club.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli after a proposed transfer to Chelsea fell through.
The Super Eagles striker has been on fire since joining the Istanbul club, netting 28 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions.
His goal-scoring exploits have aided Galatasaray in their push for the Turkish Super Lig championship and a domestic cup triumph.
Spanish media AS, cited by Cumhuriyet, claim that Galatasaray are ready to break the bank with a €70 million record offer to Napoli for Osimhen’s signature.
The deal also includes a lucrative three-year contract for the striker, worth €15 million a season after tax, with performance bonuses.
If finalized, the salary package would make Osimhen one of the highest-paid players outside the top five European leagues, on par with offers from some of the Premier League’s heavyweights.
However, Galatasaray will face stiff competition from top European clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Saudi Arabian clubs—all of whom are closely monitoring the striker’s next destination.
