The long-standing rivalry between social media critic Martins Otse (Verydarkman, VDM) and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi (Mr. Jollof) has resurfaced, reigniting tensions online.
Their previous dispute escalated when VDM alleged that Jollof’s wife had ties to Yahoo boys, sparking a heated exchange. Matters worsened when Jollof and his wife reportedly included VDM’s home address in a petition, prompting him to publicly express safety concerns.
Though many believed the feud had settled, VDM, currently in China, reignited the controversy by calling out Jollof in a new video. He shared a screenshot of a tweet where Jollof claimed that VDM had apologized to his wife.
In response, VDM strongly denied the claim, challenging Jollof to provide evidence.
I can never beg your wife. Bring out the evidence of me apologizing if it’s true,” he declared.
VDM further revealed that while his lawyer had a cordial relationship with Jollof’s wife and attempted to mediate peace, he refused the offer. He also recounted an encounter at an event where Jollof allegedly avoided making eye contact.
In his latest Instagram post, VDM taunted the comedian, writing:
“Now be honest with yourself, could you look me in the eye (John Wick)?” while tagging Jollof directly.
The renewed spat has once again drawn public attention, fueling speculation on whether the rift between the two will ever be resolved.
