French Band Honors Nigeria’s PSquare with “Testimony” at State Dinner for President Tinubu

A lively performance of Nigerian duo PSquare hit song “Testimony” by a French band captivated guests at a state dinner in Paris, held in honor of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The dinner, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday, was a key event during Tinubu’s official visit to France.

The rendition of “Testimony,” a song known for celebrating success and achievement, highlighted the global reach of Nigerian music and its cultural impact. The performance not only entertained the attendees but also symbolized the growing cultural ties between Nigeria and France.

Throughout the event, President Tinubu and President Macron further strengthened their nations’ relationship, exchanging warm words on social media. Macron fondly recalled his time interning at the French Embassy in Lagos, describing it as a meaningful connection to Nigeria. Tinubu, in return, expressed his appreciation for Macron’s hospitality and emphasized the significance of their nations’ partnership.

Tinubu’s visit is aimed at boosting cooperation in key areas such as agriculture, security, education, health, and energy. His office stated that the three-day trip would create new opportunities for collaboration, especially in youth engagement, employment, innovation, and energy transition.
