The 10th edition of the Forbes Women Africa Awards took center stage at the Forbes Women Africa Leading Women Summit in South Africa, recognizing outstanding women who are shaping the future across various industries.
With the theme “To The Power of 10: The Rule-Breakers In Africa’s Next Chapter,” the prestigious event celebrated female leaders, innovators, and changemakers making significant contributions to society.
Among the night’s biggest winners was Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her remarkable contributions to global economics and governance.
Music superstar Tiwa Savage was honored with the Media Icon Award, while Nissi Ogulu, a rising creative force, was named Youth Icon Award winner.
Young achievers also took the spotlight, with Hephzibah Akinwale earning the Next Generation Award, and Eniola Shokunbi being recognized with the Young Achiever Award.
The Forbes Women Africa Leading Women Summit is an annual gathering of influential women from various fields, including business, politics, sports, entertainment, and civil society.
The event serves as a platform to spotlight pioneers breaking barriers and creating a more inclusive and prosperous future.
Held in conjunction with International Women’s Day on March 8, the summit underscores the resilience and achievements of women across Africa and beyond.
