Immediate-past Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and well wishes on his 65th birthday, noting that President Bola Tinubu’s congratulatory message prompted some reluctant individuals to extend their greetings.
In a message posted on his verified Facebook page, El-Rufai described the numerous messages he received as both humbling and gratifying. However, he acknowledged being unable to personally respond to each one.
“I want to thank everyone that sent me their prayers and best wishes, including those that didn’t want to, until President Tinubu’s message shamed them into action,” he wrote. “May the Almighty God accept our prayers and continue to shower His blessings on us and our people.”
The former governor also apologized to anyone whose message he may have unintentionally overlooked, emphasizing that any omission was not deliberate.
He concluded with a prayer: “May Almighty Allah grant us even longer life, in good health, happiness, and prosperity, in a Nigeria that flourishes as a beacon of progressive governance, democracy, and equal opportunity for all.”
