A Nigerian doctor, @efe_edwards on X, has come out after performing an operation to remove a large carrot from the body of a man.
Dr. Edwards reported that he was recently called to a medical crisis—not an illness, but a curious instance of a foreign object inserted into a location where it has no business being there.
The offending object? A carrot that had to be surgically removed from a man’s rectum.
Sharing his experience on the web, the doctor ranted frustrations on cases such as this one, hoping that individuals can be more careful and not insert things down their vaginas and anuses.
He posted:
“Public service announcement: You people who like sticking things up your anus and vaginas, can you be any more careless?
It is not reasonable to visit the hospital, not due to a medical condition, but for silly reasons like foreign bodies in cavities of the body.
Surgical procedure accomplished. We rescued a carrot! Stop putting foreign objects in your anuses! ????
