The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has recovered the body of a male crossdresser on the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway in Abuja. The deceased, found on Thursday, was dressed in female attire, including a bra, weavon, and handbag, but had no means of identification.
Upon receiving a distress call at approximately 7:40 AM on August 8, 2024, the FCT Police Command Control Room dispatched a team of detectives to the scene. The initial report indicated that an unidentified individual, presumed to be a woman, was found lying motionless along the expressway.
Upon arrival, detectives discovered that the individual was a man dressed in female clothing. The body was promptly transported to Maitama District Hospital, where the attending doctors confirmed his death.
In response to the incident, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, has ordered a thorough and discreet investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the man’s death.
