Nigerian music superstar Davido has lashed out at popular Instagram blog, Instablog, after it shared a story linking his name to a group of kidnappers. The controversy began when Instablog posted photos of three suspected kidnappers apprehended by residents of Victory Estate in Ago Palace, Lagos State.
During interrogation, the alleged leader of the gang introduced himself by saying, “Davido is my nickname. I came to kidnap.”
The post’s caption, however, caused an uproar, as the blog wrote: “Davido and two others apprehended for kidnapping in Lagos.”
This misleading headline suggested a direct link between the singer and the criminal case, sparking outrage among his fans.
Furious over the misrepresentation, Davido took to his page to issue a stern warning to the blog, writing:
“One day go be one day… continue… my karma no dey always tey.”
